Dear PASC Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year on behalf of PASC committee! May the coming year bring forth many happy returns to you and your family.
Last year was a great success! We had quite a few events and members were actively involved! This year, instead of having our Annual Meeting, the PASC committee decided to donate $1,000 toward the earthquake relief fund to Haiti.
On January 17, 2010, our PASC Committee met to reflect on 2009 and start planning our 2010 events. We are planning to have some new and exciting activities this year. But we will still continue to have our annual cultural events as well. We hope our functions create a family atmosphere and a sense of belonging to a Hindu society through our common cultural ties.
So, please mark your calendars!!! We have set the following dates for our 2010 events. These are tentative dates and may change depending upon hall availability.
- March 21, 2010 - Hiking and Family Fun Day at Griffith Park
- May 22, 2010 - Bowling Night
- June 20, 2010 - Father’s Day Picnic
- July 18, 2010 - Temecula Wine Tasting Tour
- September 11, 2010 – Bhajan & Raas Garba Night
- November 13, 2010 - Annual Banquet
A reminder to please fill out your membership applications, which will be mailed out to you. Please send your annual dues as soon as possible so you don’t forget it. We want all Prajapatis to be members of PASC, so if you know someone that is not currently a member, please invite them to join and have them get to know our community members. We are also enclosing our financial report for every member to see where all monies are allocated to. If you have any questions, please contact Anita Bhagat (Treasurer) or myself.
Some members have informed me that they haven’t received a PASC directory. If you haven’t received one, please contact me and I will send you one. Also, 2009 Annual Banquet photos are on the website, so please make sure to check them out! www.pascofla.org
Thanks for a great year in 2009, and we look forward to another eventful year in 2010. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.
Sincerely
Manhar Mistry
PASC President
